From the moment we stepped into the venue for the world premiere of the all-new Nissan Patrol NISMO and Nissan Z NISMO, it felt like entering a scene straight out of a high-octane movie. The lights, the music, the adrenaline – Nissan pulled out all the stops to create an unforgettable experience, and I was lucky enough to be a plus one for Shereen (the petrol head mother of mine) and be right there in the middle of it.
As someone who is just starting my journey in the world of automotive content creation, attending a global launch like this was beyond surreal. And let me tell you — the cars were every bit as show-stopping as the event itself.
The new Patrol NISMO is bold, loud, and unapologetically powerful. Its red accents, fierce V-Motion grille, and massive 22-inch RAYS wheels give it this fierce confidence that you instantly want to drive – or at least pose next to (which, of course, I did!).
I thought the red and black bucket seats in my Audi TT was uber cool but in the patrol, the cabin’s red-and-black theme, the carbon-fiber details, and those perfectly sculpted bucket seats is all power with polish. I could already imagine myself behind the wheel, cruising down Sheikh Zayed Road with that 495hp engine humming like a dream.
But the night had another showstopper: the Nissan Z NISMO — sleek, seductive, and built for the track. With its long hood, low stance, and racing-inspired details, it looked like it had leapt right out of a car enthusiast’s fantasy.
It’s the kind of car that makes your heart race just standing next to it. If the Patrol NISMO is about commanding presence and power, the Z NISMO is all about speed, style, and soul. It had me dreaming of racetracks and weekend getaways in the mountains. Although having another petrolhead at home means I do go out to the race tracks on a monthly basis, I would think a Nissan Z NISMO would just elevate my track experience.
Both cars are so different, yet so connected by Nissan’s motorsport DNA. Whether you’re into big, bold SUVs or slick, agile coupes, Nissan proved that performance can be thrilling in many forms. As a Fijian British, I could imagine me in the Patrol in the highlands of Fiji and in the Nissan Z on one of the highways in UK on a Sunday morning.
For an automotive enthusiast like me, this event was everything — inspiring, exciting, and a glimpse into the kind of content I dream of creating. I would love to add these two models into my animated motoring review series. And if I’m lucky, maybe next time I will be test-driving one of these beauties instead of just watching them from the sidelines. A girl can dream, right?
