When I first heard that I would be representing All About Wheels at the O&J Ten-Nation Hybrid Marathon in Wuhu, China, I was filled with excitement — and just a touch of nerves. It was my first-ever international marathon drive, and I had no idea what to expect. What followed turned out to be one of the most thrilling and inspiring experiences of my motoring journey so far.

Hosted as part of the OMODA & JAECOO International User Summit 2025, the event brought together participants and media from ten countries to test the next generation of hybrid innovation. Over two unforgettable days, we covered more than 600 km of scenic routes, winding through the breathtaking landscapes of South Anhui, Mount Huangshan, and Wuhu, regions that felt like driving through a movie set, with misty mountains, mirror-like lakes, and ancient villages blending into the horizon.
With the OMODA 7 SHS-P, I experienced first-hand what makes these new hybrid models stand out. The drive was incredibly smooth, and the transition between electric and hybrid power was seamless. Even on steep inclines and tight mountain curves, the car delivered consistent performance and remarkable stability. With an impressive combined range of over 1,100 km and an average fuel consumption of just 4.8L/100km, the OMODA 7 proved that eco-friendly doesn’t have to mean compromising on power or comfort.

What amazed me most was the quietness of the cabin. Even at highway speeds, the noise-cancellation and double-layer soundproofing made the experience feel luxurious and calming. At times, it was easy to forget I was part of a high-performance hybrid test as it felt more like a scenic adventure through nature. As someone who often drives in busy city environments like Dubai, I couldn’t help but think how perfect these models would be for urban UAE lifestyles, combining refinement, comfort, and intelligent hybrid efficiency.

Switching from ECO to SPORT mode added another layer of excitement. The instant torque and acceleration gave me the confidence to push the car’s performance, especially during the straight highway stretches. It truly felt like two cars in one. A calm, quiet companion for city drives and a spirited powerhouse for open roads.

By the time we reached the closing ceremony back in Wuhu, I felt a deep sense of pride, not only for representing our home grown titles but also for being part of a new chapter in sustainable mobility. The OMODA & JAECOO Ten-Nation Hybrid Marathon wasn’t just a drive; it was a glimpse into the future of intelligent, eco-conscious motoring and for me, it was a milestone. My first hybrid endurance marathon, and one I will never forget.
