The jurors of the Women’s World Car of the Year are now voting to choose the best cars of 2022 in six categories. This jury, the only one in the world made up solely of women experts in the world of motoring, currently includes 55 journalists from 40 countries with an audience of more than 500 million people.
The WWCOTY awards are more important than ever. The professionalism, independence, and rigor of its jurors are of vital importance in an industry that this year faced major challenges such as climate change and the semiconductor crisis.
PROCEDURE
The WWCOTY 2022 voting system is composed of two phases.
First phase. The jurors will cast their votes on all new models launched on at least two continents between January and December of 2021. The winners of each category will be chosen in this phase.
Second phase. Voting for the best car of the year, the ultimate winner of the Women’s World Car of the Year, will be based on the winners of each category. The jurors will cast their votes from among the six cars that won in the individual categories.

Voting Schedule
- January 10th: First phase commences
- Week of February 14th: Category winners announced, and voting begins for top winner, the WWCOTY Car of the Year.
- The top winner, WWCOTY Car of the Year, will be announced in the days before March 8th (International Women Drivers’ Day).
